Jessica de Jong

Jessica grew up in Colorado studying under David Taylor and Anastasiya Baranova. Seeking to further her artistic education, she attended Butler University in Indianapolis where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Pedagogy in May 2021. While dancing at Butler University, Jessica had the opportunity to work closely with Marek Cholewa, Rosanna Ruffo, Susan McGuire, and Derek Reid as well as perform demi-soloist and corps de ballet roles in large-scale productions. In the summer of 2018, Jessica performed across Europe and studied under prestigious European ballet masters. A year later, Jessica spent her summer as an apprentice with Zikr Dance Ensemble. After graduating university, Jessica joined Confluence Ballet Co for their inaugural season as a company artist. In her time with Confluence, Jessica had the honor of performing several soloist roles including Clara and the Lilac Fairy as well as dancing in numerous original works, including those of Julia Erickson and JoAnna Schmidt. Outside of the studios, Jessica served as Confluence’s Co-Executive Director and Financial Manager starting in 2021. For the 2024/2025 season, Jessica performed with New York State Ballet as a company artist where she had the joy of performing Dew Drop in the Nutcracker. Jessica is very excited to now be dancing with Ballet of New York and can’t wait to see what the season brings!
